To ensure that Gaviti can properly connect to your FTP or SFTP server, it is important to provide all necessary information during setup.
The following details are required for establishing the connection:
Username: the username used to access the FTP or SFTP server
Password or key file: the password required to login to the server (for FTP/SFTP) or the key file used for secure SFTP connections
Hostname: the address or hostname of the FTP or SFTP server
Port: the port number used to access the server
[Optional] Algorithms: for transport layer algorithms used for the connection for SFTP connection.
In addition to these basic details, we will also need to know the location of the data or attachment files on the server.
For data files, we will need the full path to the file. For example:
/reports/invoices.xlsxAttachment files, typically PDFs, require the directory path. For example:
/files/(with a default value of/).
⚠️It is important to note that data files and attachment files should not be placed in the same directory.
Finally, we will need to know the schedule for data retrieval, including the specific times and timezone.
Providing all of this information during setup will ensure that Gaviti can successfully connect to your FTP or SFTP server and retrieve the necessary data.
